New OB/GYN Joins Parkway Medical Center Team

Parkway Medical Center announces the addition of Decatur’s newest Obstetrician and Gynecologist, Elaina Sexton, M.D., who will be joining Mistye Taylor, M.D. in Parkway Women’s Care.
“Since the establishment of the Pavilion for Women and Children at Parkway Medical Center in 1997, Women’s Services has been a top priority for us. We believe that the addition of Dr. Sexton to our medical staff will greatly enhance our commitment to the women in our community and region.” said Tim McGill, Parkway CEO.
Dr. Sexton received her BS from the University of Alabama and her MD from the University Of South Alabama College Of Medicine in Mobile. She completed her OB/GYN residency at the University South Alabama as well.
“I am looking forward to joining Parkway Medical Center and continuing the tradition of healing that has made it such a great hospital. One of my main goals will be to promote women’s healthcare, not only during pregnancy, but also throughout a woman’s entire life,” said Dr. Sexton.
Dr. Sexton has made Decatur her new home and is excited about getting involved in the Morgan County community.
